We write this as there has been a large increase, mainly due to the popularity of our website, of folk finding the details for local companies on this website and phoning us instead of reading the information provided below.

The Wharf (formerly Cafe Cargo) offer home cooked food and a wide range of refreshments. Set on the Foulridge canal wharf, it is enjoyed by boaters, walkters, cyclists, and of course the local ducks.

Serving Breakfast, Lunch, Tea, Coffee and homemade cakes and scones, and in the evening “The Warehouse Bistro” is server (from 5:30pm) offering a range of steak, burgers, chicken, fish and vegetarian dishes, complimented with a selection of starters and homemade desserts.

The building itself is a restored canal warehouse from 1815 with level access throughout.

It’s well worth a visit.
